Sarah O'Malley Music

alternative rock
dark folk

Xhalisse is the brainchild of singer/songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer Sarah O'Malley  from Geraldton, WA.

Xhalisse offers a dark, lush live sound incorporating vocals, electric guitar, beats and  the occasional entry of the flute and other instrumentation.

Influences include late 90s- present day alt-rock and indie folk including Radiohead, PJ Harvey, Nirvana, Mazzy Star, The Church, David Bowie, The Pixies, Oasis, Lana del Rey, Massive Attack, The White Stripes, Florence and The Machine, The yeah, yeah, yeah's, Jack River, DMA's, Wolf Alice, Tia Gostelow, The Cranberries, Sufjan Stevens, The Shins and First Aid Kit.

In 2015 Sarah recorded her first solo ep " Lumina" under the name HazeAzure- lofi electronic dreamfolk, with experimental symphonic pop elements and world music vibes.
In 2016/17 Sarah played briefly with Perth band Stella Moth- a female fronted post grunge band, playing rhythm guitar and ethereal harmonies to complement the raw sound.
Between 2016 and 2018 Sarah played extensively in the Midwest region at original music nights, pub gigs, community events, festivals and private functions as a soloist with a stripped back live sound and a mix of covers and originals.

She now returns to her experimental folktronica and alt-rock roots to bring you Xhalisse- part prophetess of doom, part ethereal soul, all raw realism and lyrical honesty.
